PUSH, A SHORT FILM BY RENEGADE WINS COMMUNICATOR AWARD Award presented for exceeding industry standards in quality and excellence in production.
March 2007 - Hunt Valley, MD; Renegade Productions, a video and film production company located in Hunt Valley, Maryland received the Award of Distinction from the 2007 Communicator Awards for their short film, Push. The Award of Distinction is presented for projects that exceed industry standards in quality and excellence in production.
Renegade released the short film Push to uniquely showcase their production services and capabilities. Renegade developed the film from script to screen, handling the creative, production and post services as well as implementing an interactive marketing campaign to promote the film.
“We are honored to receive this award for a project that shows our full range of talent. Push is the perfect culmination of the extraordinary efforts from our various departments that make up Renegade: production, post, graphic design, motion graphics, and animation. February 2007 - Hunt Valley, MD; The training arm of Renegade Productions received the Award of Excellence from the 2007 Communicator Awards, for Get Connected, a video-based series of training modules geared for employees in the Cable Tele-Communications community. The Award of Excellence is given to those entries whose ability to communicate puts them among the best in the field.
The objectives of Get Connected include increasing sales of services and products as well as increasing customer satisfaction and employee confidence. NEW COMCAST CAMPAIGN FEATURING CAL RIPKEN JR. PRODUCED BY MARYLAND-BASED VIDEO PRODUCTION COMPANY Comcast’s eastern division hires Renegade to produce third campaign
February 2007 - Hunt Valley, MD; Renegade recently completed more than 20 television commercials for Comcast’s eastern division, which caters to much of the mid-Atlantic area. A total of seventeen (17) :15 spots and five (5) :30 spots were produced featuring Cal Ripken Jr., former Baltimore Oriole and recent inductee into baseball’s Hall of Fame.
The spots focused on Comcast’s Triple Play of services which include high speed internet, digital phone and digital cable and was the third such campaign that Renegade produced for Comcast.
A custom set was designed and built in Renegade’s studio for this shoot. Throughout each of the spots, Mr. Ripken describes Comcast’s features and services from the comfort of ‘his living room’ and his ‘study’. He then is plugged into the technology and becomes a part of the interactive guide though the help of a green screen that is part of Renegade’s 3000 sq ft sound stage.

HUNT VALLEY AGENCY NOW SHOOTING AND EDITING IN HIGH DEFINITION (HD)
Renegade Productions is now a full-service HD facility
August 1, 2006; Hunt Valley, MD: Renegade announced today that they have fully finished upgrading their post production capabilities to include all High-Definition (HD) formats, including fully uncompressed HD. The upgrade to HD will enable their clients to choose between a standard format and a higher-quality HD format for their video production needs.
HD is a format that enables broadcasters to offer television with movie-quality picture and sound in a widescreen format. According to the FCC, TV stations serving all markets in the United States are currently airing HD programming, although most will continue to provide analog programming through February 17, 2009. At that point, full-power TV stations will be required to make the upgrade to HDTV, including all programming and commercials that will air on those stations. Production houses will inevitably need to make the upgrade to accommodate commercial and programming production, but Renegade wanted to be one of the first companies to make the upgrade.
Renegade’s four editing suites now feature three Avid Media Composer Adrenaline HD Systems and one Avid Symphony Nitris System. These upgrades give Renegade the ability to do all HD formats including full uncompressed HD, which is the best video-broadcast resolution currently available. In addition, Renegade recently purchased a camera that captures true high definition in multiple formats. This provides a great deal of flexibility that Renegade can now offer clients to meet all of their video production needs. Four motion graphic stations on G5s and a 3D animation suite complete the editing systems that Renegade has to offer.
“We wanted to be one of the first in the area to offer HD shooting and editing capabilities,” said Brian Stetson, Renegade’s director of post production. “With the transition of our technology to entirely HD, we are able to utilize all of the HD formats for our own programming efforts as well as being able to offer it as an option to our clients.”
